VERDICT: In a wide-open contest, a tentative vote goes to Lofoten. The lightly-raced son of Frankel hasn't shown much so far, but he's bred to be far better than a mark of 57 and with Colin Keane aboard for the first time, it would be no surprise were he to take a marked step forward. Starting Monday is only 1lb higher than when winning this two years ago, while Search For Thestar could improve for the addition of first-time blinkers. The remainder are headed by Storm Eric and Khafaaq.
