VERDICT: Poet's Dawn finally rewarded his followers with a tenacious win at Beverley last month and he could be difficult to overhaul once more, with his rider's 7lb allowance a further positive. Course specialists Tommy G and Merricourt can never be confidently ruled out here and both are capable of being in the mix. Shaladar has posted his best efforts when delivered late on the scene and is another that adds spice to this contest, especially now dropped back in trip after his latest effort at York.
