VERDICT: A strong case can be made for plenty of these but none more so than Blowing Wind, who took a big step forward when finishing second at Thirsk last time. That was his first start since a wind operation and, off the same mark today, the four-year-old could be hard to stop. Northbound also hit the crossbar last time and may prove to be the main threat to the selection. Others to note are Flying Pursuit, Monhammer and Cobra Kai.
