VERDICT: Protest Rally returned from a 208-day break to finish a good second over track and trip earlier this month. Liam Bailey's gelding makes plenty of appeal racing off just 1lb higher and he looks primed to strike at this level. The biggest threat may emerge from Mojomaker, who reappeared after almost three months off with a respectable third at Thirsk. Market support for stable debutant Soul Seeker would be interesting.
