VERDICT: Kevin's Pride was impressive in winning a bumper by nine lengths on his racecourse bow at Kilbeggan last August and hasn't done much wrong in finishing second in all three subsequent starts over hurdles. Versatile regarding distance, there is enough to suggest the son of Mount Nelson is worth persevering with here. Point-to-point winner Saint Malinas has shown similar promise in his two starts under Rules and is another key player. Frisby and Scarlet Jet complete the shortlist.
