VERDICT: Blanc De Noir has been far from outclassed in better company and can contend in this handicap. He is only 2lb higher than when winning at the Curragh last summer. Rathbranchurch battled hard to win in Bellewstown and his record in Navan (only once out of the money) brings him right into contention. Kevin Coleman won this race last year and has prospects with Only Spoofing. He showed a welcome return to form when a close third behind Rathbranchurch in Bellewstown. Fair Taxes is up 8lb for winning by a neck off the front in Fairyhouse, but he has only had four runs so there should be more in his locker.
