VERDICT: Betsen has attained a rating of 102 without winning, but could rectify that here. His mark shot up when he was headed on the line over C&D in a Listed race in April. That was a very notable performance as he was only rated 85 going into that contest. He should have the necessary speed for this assignment and gets first-time cheekpieces. Emerald Banner has posted no less than four runner-up finishes in sprints and another solid effort is on the cards. Desert Power showed ability in a debut second over 5f at this track and has since come home third at Cork. Mehmar was formerly useful, but has a massive absence to overcome.
