ANALYSIS: Led to post and led in start, headway out wide tracking leaders 2nd, went 2nd briefly 8th, chased leaders, went left 3 out, soon weakened, tailed off
VERDICT: The improving Paddy De Pole is certain to prove popular after securing wins at Plumpton, Wincanton and Hereford in recent months. The six-year-old warrants respect in his bid for a four-timer, but a further 9lb rise and marked step up in distance could prove his undoing. Last month's C&D winner Earth King could be the one, with a 5lb rise for that ready triumph here looking on the lenient side. A first-time visor should see Thirtyfour Thirty go well too.
