VERDICT: Empire Steel could only manage ninth in the Topham here last month, but he is likely to get a lot closer off a 1lb lower mark now down in grade. However, the vote goes to Sail Away, who failed to fire when finishing ninth in a Grade 2 handicap at Cheltenham last time. He now takes a drop in grade and goes off the same rating, so he looks the one to side with. Last year's winner Kinondo Kwetu completes the shortlist.
