VERDICT: More aggressive tactics enabled Meatloaf to make all at Taunton and a similar approach could make him tough to beat on his handicap bow. A current rating of 124 looks far from insurmountable and Paul Nicholls' charge is taken to complete a double. Petit Tonnerre wasn't beaten far when seventh in the Scottish Champion Hurdle at Ayr and this return to 2m4f brings him into the reckoning, while it's too early to write off King Alexander.
