ANALYSIS: Raced keenly, soon steadied mid-division, pushed along and lost place quickly 5f out, tailed off and pulled up entering home straight
VERDICT: Alan King may be just the type to improve new recruit Smart Charger, who is best judged on his penultimate effort at Kempton over 1m3f when keeping on well for second behind a subsequent winner. The four-year-old is narrowly preferred to the unexposed Spring Chorus and Pierrefonds, who should be suited by dropping back in trip. Camacho Man and Red Dwarf are capable of being in the shake-up as well.
