VERDICT: There was a good word for Amerjeet prior to his Wolverhampton introduction and although he ultimately let down odds-on backers, there was enough encouragement to take from his one-length third to suggest that a race such as this should be well within range. Addictive also shaped like an imminent winner when runner-up at Chelmsford, especially considering he was the victim of interference. The Man, a 145,000-pounds half-brother to a Listed-winning juvenile, is the most interesting of the newcomers.
