VERDICT: Miss Maverick outran her big odds to only be denied by four lengths when second behind a well-fancied favourite at Hereford earlier in the month and the drop in trip looks like a good move. Gary Hanmer's seven-year-old looks to have found a good opportunity to go one better, with her main danger possibly being Give Me A Boom, who has run with credit in each of his three starts over the smaller obstacles. Of the remainder, Let's Sail Away makes the most appeal after his fifth at Doncaster.
