VERDICT: The Niffler would be an obvious contender if reappearing under the mandatory penalty two days after scoring by half a length in Naas. He had a tough enough race there, though, and will have to defy a big weight. It could be worth chancing C'est Rien under Paul Townend. This is a drop in class and trip for the seven-year-old mare, but she has form over a similar trip. Townend takes a rare outside ride in a riveting jockeys' title race. Tingarran Express caught a tartar when beaten six lengths into second at this track in February. That was still a decent effort and she is a Clonmel specialist (placed in her last three starts here). Go Gill Go, with Townend's title rival Jack Kennedy in the plate, is capable of getting in the mix while Robindevidastar could go well off the front for a long way.
