VERDICT: Lady Bresil debuts for a new yard having run well when last seen, in a better maiden last December. Well supported on bumper debut in December 2022, she was absent for 351 days prior to Navan and ran nicely, finishing behind a smart winner, with the third-placed horse winning twice subsequently. She has size and has form on testing ground. Willie Mullins' lightly-raced seven-year-old Maroto showed mild promise before falling at the last at Punchestown in February but is absent since, is tried in a first-time tongue-tie and also hasn't been entrusted with a prize money-seeking mission to the UK. Slip Jig ran well on her first run for 684 days at Cork. That winner is exciting, with the runner-up scoring subsequently, but Slip Jig debuts over jumps today. Walmix won a June bumper but returns from a winter break and concedes a penalty. Zulu Mike showed encouraging signs before falling at the second-last on debut at Thurles and could place.
