VERDICT: Aurora Dawn is difficult to oppose after she strolled home over 7f at Newmarket and although she has to carry a 6lb penalty for that victory, she will go up another 5lb for future races so she is well-in. Masterpainter is the only distance winner in this field and although not at his best so far this season, blinkers are tried, which may help him focus. Pearly Star is a work in progress and is probably better than she has shown so far.
