VERDICT: The unexposed Maghlaak shaped well enough behind a couple of rivals proven in testing conditions at Goodwood on his return and having progressed well last term, he can resume that forward momentum. Tamarama failed to fire at Windsor on her first appearance for Ralph Beckett, pulling too hard in conditions softer than ideal, but can be given another chance on a sounder surface. Spirit Of The Bay improved on her second start of the year and appears to be on an attractive mark.
