VERDICT: A prolific winner in the second half of last season, Autumn Festival bounced back to form with a highly creditable effort in the Thirsk Hunt Cup and the drop in trip is a major plus. The booking of William Buick also catches the eye and he is taken to see off C&D winner Lyndon B and Global Esteem, who has not been beaten far on either start this season. Able Kane and Tintoretto are entitled to be thereabouts as well.
