VERDICT: Ruby Island confirmed the promise that she displayed in bumpers when winning impressively on her hurdles debut at Ayr in December and the six-year-old is arguably the one to beat on that evidence. Jane Du Berlais accounted for a useful rival, who has won subsequently, at Lingfield last time and she cannot be discounted here. Pass The Love On merits consideration on her return to action, while Just Dottie completes the shortlist.
