ANALYSIS: Pressed leader, led 8th, shaken and went clear before 4 out, mistake 3 out, ridden run-in and stayed on well, always doing enough

ANALYSIS: Held up in rear, headway into 2nd home turn, pushed along before 4 out where not fluent, soon ridden, kept on but no impression, not fluent last

    4
    Harry Bannister

    Age 6

    23 L
ANALYSIS: Handy, led narrowly after 1st, headed 8th, remained prominent, pushed along after 5 out, ridden and held after 4 out
  • PU
    1
    Harry Skelton

    Age 8 TT

ANALYSIS: Led, tracked leaders after 1st, not fluent 13th or 14th and dropped to rear, tailed off and pulled up next
VERDICT: Ballygrifincottage made the perfect start over fences at Haydock when accounting for a useful individual and victory here would seal his place at the Cheltenham Festival, where he ran with credit last season to finish fourth in the Albert Bartlett. O'Toole scored on his chasing bow at Newcastle last month and appears to have plenty of improvement to come now stepping up to 3m. City Chief won at Hereford on his latest outing, but his jumping will need to be better on this occasion.
