VERDICT: Cold Steel showed promise as a juvenile for Jessica Harrington but missed all of last year before steadily progressing in three starts this term. He ran a cracker over a mile at Leopardstown and was then off for a further four months before making the breakthrough when upped to 1m4f here last Wednesday. This extended ten furlongs should be enough of a stamina test for the selection who also races off an 8lb higher mark. Sheer Chance has been frustrating to follow before getting up close home in a mile maiden here last month, while Redstone Well tries this trip for the first time after going close over a mile last time. Riccardi Medici, Adamaris and Firstman may all prefer a bit further.
