VERDICT: Finke River looks an interesting prospect upped in trip. The son of Australia cost 85,000gns as a yearling but was picked up for just three grand, still unraced, by current connections this spring. He was handicapped over shorter trips before three promising efforts at around a mile in handicaps and didn't enjoy a clear run when third to Slamadoor at Bellewstown last week. James McAuley holds a strong hand as top-weight Cedar Rapids won a claimer at Leopardstown over the summer and finished well when beating all bar Miss Abby Jools over a mile here last Friday. Lily Of The Glen went close twice at Gowran over the summer and probably found 1m4f too far here a fortnight ago, while Sioux Princess and Dragon Roll are others to consider.
