VERDICT: City Of Poets ran well in defeat when runner-up at Thirsk on his introduction. James Tate's colt finished clear of the rest of the field and will be hard to keep out of the finish with improvement likely. L'Karama is another with solid claims, having followed a promising debut effort with an even better performance at Wolverhampton. Newcomer Al Durry is a daughter of American Pharoah and has to be of interest.
