VERDICT: It may pay to take a chance on top-weight Topofthecotswolds, who won seven races for Nigel Twiston-Davies and was last seen coming home fourth at Sedgefield on his third appearance since joining Ollie Pears. A mark of 105 is a massive 37lb lower than his highest rating, and even at the age of 11 there may be one more victory in him. Instinct D'ainay is an obvious danger on his handicap and chasing debut, and is a bit of an unknown quantity. Pure Surf arrives in good form and is another to consider.
