VERDICT: Monasterboice was a close third to Zaynab in a heavy ground maiden at the Curragh this spring and the Noel Meade-trained gelding showed he's equally effective on a sounder surface when second over this trip at Limerick last time. Artful Approach is another consistent sort and drops in trip here, while No Knee Never and Four Blondes are others to consider. John Steinbeck is bred in the purple being by Dubawi and out of a Group 3-winning sister to a number of Group 1 winners, while Eshnunna is another newcomer to note.
