VERDICT: Hickory arrives here on the back of two very encouraging efforts this season, the most recent of which being a fourth in the Victoria Cup last month. Down in grade and off the same mark, the six-year-old can take full advantage. Pearle D'or was behind the selection when sent off favourite at Ascot, but showed more at Doncaster subsequently and should not be discounted. The shortlist is completed by Be Frank, Game Set and Sterling Knight.
