VERDICT: Takt De Touques may have been worth more than the winning margin suggests when scoring over this C&D on his Rules bow and, with scope for improvement, he is taken to defy his 7lb penalty to record a double. That said, Magna Victor was only beaten two and a quarter lengths when sixth in that same contest and should improve for his racecourse debut, so he looks a threat as he reopposes the winner on better terms. Any market confidence behind Fairlawn Skipper would also be interesting.
