VERDICT: A rise in distance saw a much-improved performance from What A Johnny, who regained the winning thread over track and trip last month in some style. A 9lb hike in the ratings will make life more difficult for the gelded son of Yeats, but he looks more than capable of following up. Donso Star arrives in fine fettle and should give another good account, while Singapore Trip warrants respect on this ease in grade.
