VERDICT: A tentative vote goes to Helicon, who travelled well before being outpaced and keeping on for fifth in a Tramore maiden last time. The second came out and won easily at Killarney on Sunday and a mark of 97 looks manageable on his handicap debut, so the son of Ocovango is preferred to the unexposed Oakley and Smallcraftwarning, who has strong claims on his success at Thurles two starts ago. Contrapposto, Fairytale New York and Shopping Around complete the shortlist.
