ANALYSIS: Led, headed after second, slow jump 3rd, soon prominent, regained second just before 2 out, chased leader from home turn, led but untidy last, soon faced challenge run-in, rallied and asserted final strides

    Danny McMenamin

    Age 7 TT

    1 1/4 L
ANALYSIS: Midfield, closed on leaders from 2 out, went second on landing last, every chance run-in, stayed on but unable to quicken final 50 yards, weakened final strides

    8 L
ANALYSIS: Raced in second, led after 2nd, gained a length with good jump 3rd, travelled smoothly, gained a couple of lengths with another good jump 2 out, reduced lead soon after home turn, headed before last, ridden run-in, weakened near finish

    Miss Roisin Leech

    Age 6 CP

    1 1/4 L
ANALYSIS: Midfield, pushed along after 5th, outpaced before 2 out, detached before home turn, stayed on again after last, never really on terms
  • 7th
    2
    Miss Brodie Hampson

    Age 9 CP

    10 L
ANALYSIS: Held up last, closed on leaders after 3rd, went second before 5th, pushed along and soon struggling after 2 out, weakened quickly before home turn, dropped to last run-in
VERDICT: This looks to be a very good opportunity for Baron De Midleton to get back to winning ways. Brian Ellison's charge is clear of these on official ratings and, after being sent off a short-priced favourite over the extended 1m7f at Catterick (third) in March, connections look likely to gain some compensation. Hard Rain will likely offer the sternest resistance to the selection with Brodie Hampson claiming a useful 3lb, while Nick The Greek heads the remainder.
