VERDICT: A tentative vote goes to Blazing Son, who didn't show much last time out at Thirsk but is better judged on his previous efforts on the all-weather this year. With his only victory on turf coming on heavy ground and given he produced a strong runner-up effort over C&D last August, Bryan Smart's charge is narrowly preferred to Supreme King, who scored comfortably at Kempton on his penultimate outing. King's Crown is capable of being in the mix as well.
