VERDICT: Village Master made the perfect start to life over fences when winning at Hereford 16 days ago and, with improvement likely, a subsequent 3lb rise in unlikely to prevent him from mounting another stern challenge. Jemura was pulled up over hurdles but is an interesting candidate back over fences and with blinkers applied for the first time. Barrakhov was the subject of market support at Ludlow in February and, though he failed to fire that day, a 4lb ease in the handicap will help matters.
