VERDICT: Nordic Tiger was somewhat underwhelming when a well-beaten second at Plumpton last month and the five-year-old may be in the grip of the handicapper at present. With that in mind, it may pay to go for last-time-out Hereford scorer Intimate. Venetia Williams' gelding ran out a decisive winner on that occasion and not even a 10lb hike in the ratings may be enough to prevent him from following up. Kaleb looks to have a bigger performance in him and the son of Sir Percy is a viable alternative to the selection.
