VERDICT: A comfortable winner over C&D last month and narrowly denied in this contest last year off 5lb lower, Flegmatik must hold strong claims of going one better. Soft ground may not be ideal, but his form stands up and he is narrowly preferred to Lord Baddesley, who looks to have been saved for this since a strong runner-up effort at Newbury in December. Denied by the narrowest of margins in the Great Yorkshire at Doncaster, Forward Plan is another to note, along with the classy Il Ridoto going up in trip, and dual course winner Tweed Skirt.
