VERDICT: Sofia Cat hasn't been disgraced in her three novice runs and may prove more competitive now entering handicaps, off what looks a fair opening mark of 67. A chance, though, is taken on Confederation, who has been shaping as if she would appreciate this return to a right-handed course and is now 7lb lower than her C&D fifth in November. More Than A Grey is another who is making his bow in this sphere and can't be dismissed if bouncing back to the form that saw him place at Newbury in July.
