VERDICT: The application of cheekpieces is an interesting tactic with Tothenines and may prompt extra from the Karl Burke-trained gelding as he bids to register his first win over this trip. He went close off this mark at Southwell 19 days ago and is worth another chance in this sort of company. Royal Musketeer was just behind the selection in that race and can again go close, while Chola Empire is open to improvement and warrants consideration too.
