ANALYSIS: Chased leaders out wide, pushed along before 3 out, carried left 3 out, soon outpaced and beaten
VERDICT: Paul Nicholls has an outstanding record in this race and has won the last two renewals, most recently with Greaneteen, so it would be dangerous to overlook him as he bids to secure back-to-back victories. However, Edwardstone was nothing but progressive last season and should not be taken lightly on his return to action. He has proven to run well fresh in the past and lost little in defeat behind Gentleman De Mee in April, a defeat which was arguably the result of a long season. Shishkin bolted up on his seasonal reappearance last year and is a big threat.
