VERDICT: Mattice went close in the Ayr Bronze Cup over 6f last time, but he just didn't quite get home that day and a return to this trip looks ideal, so Tim Easterby's three-year-old appears the one to side with in a competitive contest. Alligator Alley was a good fourth at Haydock last time and a repeat of that would see him go close, while David Loughnane's filly Kape Moss still looks open to plenty of improvement and is another to consider.
