Audience has been somewhat of a revelation for connections this season and he was a clear cut winner of the Group 1 Lockinge Stakes at Newbury on his seasonal return. He then went on to run really well at Royal Ascot when 5th of 13 in the Queen Anne Stakes and perhaps trying to make all the running over the stiff 1m caught his stamina out. Connections then wisely switched him back to 7f at Goodwood where his high cruising speed was seen to good effect and he pulled well clear of his rivals to win by 4 lengths. He looks a horse that should be very well suited to 7f on a speed track such as York and looks a stand out pick on form in this Group 2 contest. Audience rates a 5 star win Pick.
