VERDICT: Wicked Thoughts appreciated the faster underfoot conditions in maiden company at Ascot last month. He forged clear of his rivals in the closing stages and Paul Nicholls' charge looks one to keep on the right side of now handicapping. Escapologist and Ambion View are others of interest on their handicap debuts, with the former marginally preferred, but Excelero bids for a hat-trick and may prove the biggest threat to the selection.
