VERDICT: Magnetic North might be able to register a 10th career success on what will be his debut for Ian Donoghue. The chestnut gelding ran at least once for 21 consecutive months from March 2022 to November 2023 and returns now from a well-earned break. The winner of this race 12 months ago and, in here for 12,000 euros, the 73-rated nine-year-old should give a good account of himself with Shane Foley aboard. Colin Keane will get the leg up on French Company, who also has a price tag of 12,000 euros. After finishing a solid fourth at Fairyhouse recently, the Jimmy Coogan-trained six-year-old looks a leading contender. Pinball Wizard (15,000 euros) is a consistent sort and is sure to have plenty of supporters, while the Paul Flynn-trained Emeric (6,000 euros) is another with strong claims.
