VERDICT: Formerly with Sir Michael Stoute, Falcon Nine may prove a shrewd acquisition for the Charlie Fellowes' stable. The son of Ulysses appeared to not get home when finishing fourth over 1m2f on his last couple of starts, but stepping back in trip and sporting a hood for the first time are both positives for his claims here. Sir Oliver arrives on the back of an admirable third at Chelmsford earlier this month and, off an 8lb lower turf mark, a bold showing is anticipated. Red Maids met trouble in running at Haydock most recently and better is expected here, especially with William Buick reunited with her.
