VERDICT: Front runners have enjoyed success on the Rowley Mile so far this season so Vaynor gets the nod. Charles Hills' gelding shaped as if in need of the outing when sixth at Epsom, but a 1lb ease in the handicap means he is now back on his last winning mark and it would come as no surprise were he to step forward. Better can be expected of Composite, who failed to justify favouritism on his handicap debut. Iron Lion bolted up at Doncaster and must be taken seriously, despite a subsequent 8lb hike.
