VERDICT: Frere d'Armes has posted some creditable efforts in defeat in recent months and the seven-year-old appears to have been found a suitable opportunity to end a bit of a drought. The biggest threat may come in the shape of last month's Newcastle runner-up Pay The Piper, who should enjoy a return to this distance. Having finished second twice over fences last season, Parisencore is still open to improvement in this discipline and he shouldn't be far away if his inexperience doesn't catch him out.
