VERDICT: Ken Condon saddled his first winner of the season in Naas last week and has prospects with Veracidad. This filly was placed three times off higher marks last season and is very much at home on rain-softened ground. Velvet Skies is running consistently well, with three runner-up berths in a row. His latest effort came in a higher grade and Wesley Joyce eases his welter burden by 5lb, so the pair should be right on the premises. Artful Approach can build upon his fourth over C&D last month. It was quite a drop in trip for him, but he took to sprinting as he put in plenty of good late work in that big field.
