VERDICT: Katey Kontent was hammering on the door towards the back end of last season and must enter calculations on her return, while Ascot Adventure returns to what is arguably his optimum trip following a pleasing comeback over 7f here. Mubhijah and Holy Fire are others for the shortlist, but last year's winner Magical Spirit shades the verdict. He is 6lb lower than 12 months ago, is forecast to get his favoured soft ground again and has run well fresh on a number of occasions in the past.
