VERDICT: Master Garvey was placed on a number of occasions last year including over C&D and has returned in fine form this season backing up a highly creditable third at the Curragh by opening his account over this trip at Naas. The selection was well clear inside the final furlong before just holding on from Spring Collection with a five-length gap back to the third and he's taken to defy a 9lb rise in the ratings. Manhattan Dandy was sixth in that Naas handicap and gave the form a boost when subsequently prominent throughout to land a 16-runner event at Leopardstown. Adhuil went close here last autumn and is a nice first ride for Rebecca Parsons, while Summer Snow and Barnhill Rose are others to note.
