VERDICT: A first ride for the Martin Dunne yard could bear fruit for Benoit De La Sayette aboard Ali Jewels who, on the face of it, would need to improve on what she has shown in two starts this year. However, she was a C&D winner off 1lb lower in September last year and, with blinkers applied for the first time, it would come as no surprise were she to step forward in a relatively moderate event. Mellys Flyer finished a narrow second at Chelmsford 12 days ago and remains well treated, while Exceed, who struck at Thirsk last June, could be a factor too.
