VERDICT: Circe scored in the style of a smart prospect when running out a comfortable winner of a Doncaster maiden and after then finishing down the field in the Oh So Sharp Stakes at Newmarket on her final juvenile appearance, she can return to winning ways pitched into a handicap for the first time. Telemark also found Pattern company too hot on his final start of 2023 and better can be expected from him with sights lowered. Dashing Darcey completes the shortlist, although this represents a steep rise in grade for the dual Lingfield scorer.
