VERDICT: Black Smoke has been in good form on the all-weather recently and Mark Loughnane's charge, who was on target off 1lb lower on the turf at Lingfield last August, must enter calculations. Similarly, Virtual Hug arrives in fine fettle and he appeals as a leading candidate, although it is Calshot Spit who might be worth taking a chance on. The less-exposed son of New Bay doesn't have many miles on the clock and could improve now switched to turf in this sphere.
